The single “Detention” is a song easily catching the ear, melodious, dynamic.. Topic you have chosen is rather difficult – manipulation in love. What’s the idea for this song?
Egon: There are no easy subjects aren’t there? I will have to blame it to complexity of the creative process. That means basically: I do not know where’s the idea from. I can only state that Detention it is about things not said, misunderstood, about sending yourself to your own detention because of that. Easy, simple and catchy. This one is pretty nicely done I must admit.
Snake: Work on Detention has been started with a bit a grim humor. I have been inspired with 1938 Reichstag Hitler speech on YoutTube. I have laid a brutal keyboard sound and guitar riffs playing the same notes over it. Then we have realized this can be a nice number. So Hitler was sent to trash bin. The instrumentation was built on that basic riff which can only be found somewhere in a bass line.
